METHOD

Using an electric mixer, beat butter, icing sugar, NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in sifted flour and almond meal. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth. Roll dough between sheets of baking paper until 5mm thick; refrigerate 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 180ºC/160ºC fan forced. Grease three baking trays; line with baking paper.

Use 7cm-diameter snowflake-shaped pastry cutters to cut snowflakes from the dough. Transfer to lined trays. Use a thin drinking straw to cut a small hole in the top corner of each biscuit. Continue cutting biscuits from the dough, re-rolling as necessary. Bake for 12 minutes or until golden Set aside to cool slightly.

Thread a piece of ribbon or string through the hole in the top of 1 biscuit and knot the ends. Repeat with the remaining biscuits

Spoon melted NESTLÉ White Melts into a snap-lock bag. Snip off 1 corner. Using picture as a guide, pipe small dots of chocolate onto points of each snowflake. Decorate with NESTLÉ Mini Smartie Bits, pressing gently to secure. Stand for 5 minutes or until set. Serve.
