preheat oven to 180°c/160°c fan forced. grease and line a 20cm round cake pan. place cherries over the base of the pan.
using an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar, until light and pale, add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, add melted plaistowe 70% cocoa cooking chocolate.
fold through cinnamon, flour and almond meal. carefully spoon mixture over cherries. bake for 40 minutes or until cooked. remove from oven and stand in pan for 10 minutes, turn out onto a wire rack. dust with NESTLÉ baking cocoa, serve warm.
