combine flour, UNCLE TOBYS traditional oats, brown sugar and coconut in a large bowl; set aside.
place butter and golden syrup in a small saucepan. stir over a low heat, until smooth; remove from heat; add NESTLÉ dark melts; stir until melted and mixture is smooth.
dissolve bicarbonate of soda in boiling water. add to dry ingredients with the butter mixture and stir until thoroughly mixed.
using lightly floured hands, roll level tablespoons of mixture into balls, place on prepared trays, 4 cm apart, flatten gently with a fork. bake 15-20 minutes or until golden.
