METHOD

  1. cut tops off pears (these will become lids) and core.
  2. stand pears upright in a bamboo steamer or steamer insert.
  3. fill each pear with honey and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. place top portion back on top of each pear. cover and place steamer over a saucepan of simmering water. steam pears for 15-20 minutes or until soft.
