METHOD

Preheat oven to 180C/160C fan forced. Lightly grease a 18cm x 28cm slice pan and line with baking paper.

Combine the flour, sugar and coconut in a bowl. Add the melted butter and mix well. Press mixture firmly into base of prepared pan. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Set aside to cool.

Combine NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk, extra butter and golden syrup in a medium saucepan. Stir over low heat for 4 to 5 minutes or until smooth. Pour over base. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden. Cool.

To melt the chocolate, place the NESTLÉ PLAISTOWE Premium Dark Chocolate 200g in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave, uncovered, on MEDIUM (50%) for 1 minute, then stir. Repeat process in 30 second intervals until melted. Add the oil and stir until smooth. Pour evenly over slice. Refrigerate for 5 minutes or until chocolate is partially set. Arrange the NESTLÉ SMARTIES over the slice in a diagonal pattern. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until set. Serve, cut into squares.
