METHOD

  1. prepare MAGGI vegetable sensations three cheeses potato bake recipe mix according to directions on the packet and serve with traditional roast beef & gravy.
  2. preheat oven to 160°c/140°c fan forced.
  3. place the roast with the fat side uppermost on a small rack in a roasting pan. cook for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours for medium-rare beef.
  4. remove the roast to a platter, cover with foil and stand in a warm place for 15 minutes before carving.
  5. drain all of the fat from the roasting pan, leaving the meat drippings. pour in wine. bring to the boil, stirring, then simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. combine the gravy mix and water; add to the pan. bring to the boil, stirring, then simmer for a further 2 minutes.
