Orrechiette with Peas, Pancetta and Prawns

Orrechiette with Peas, Pancetta and Prawns

Recipe Ingredients

(Serves 4)

  • 300g orrechiette (or other shape) pasta
  • 150g pancetta, chopped
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 16 green (raw) medium king prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 200g sliced button mushrooms
  • 185mL can CARNATION Light & Creamy Cooking Milk
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 1/4 cup (10g) chopped parsley
  • 1 cup (120g) frozen peas

How to make

1. Cook pasta according to directions on packet; drain and keep warm.

2. Meanwhile, heat a large non stick frying pan over medium high heat. Add pancetta; cook until crispy and golden, about 5 minutes. Drain on kitchen paper. Set aside.

3. Heat oil in same frying pan over medium high heat. Add prawns; cook 1-2 minutes each side or until just cooked. Remove and set aside.

4. Heat same frying pan over medium heat; add garlic and mushrooms; cook 3 minutes or until mushrooms are tender. Add combined CARNATION Light & Creamy Flavoured Cooking Milk and cornflour, parsley and peas. Cook until just heated through. Stir in pasta, pancetta and prawns.

12 minutes
